Aliah's First Knight in Shining Armour

We were in MV today. No actual plans kinda outing.

Aliah was adamant that she wanted a horsey ride. And then she wanted to play at the "taman". So we went to M3gakidz, split up. Me n Aliah went in. Anik stayed with Jannah outside while Hubby went with Yon to do some errands. The place was a bit overwhelming for her I think. She liked that there were a lot of other kids around but didn't want to be a part of it.

Anyway, she wanted to go on the slides but if you know these indoor parks then you know that it is not easy to go all the way up. Unlike the gym in OU, this was a bit too small even for me to crawl around. But Aliah was determined to go on the slide. I could see she was afraid. (I think she's afraid of heights) The first time she went up halfway and then came back down. Then she tried again, she reached a bit higher. And was contemplating whether she wanted to come down or not when this other kid (who was at most 6 years) looked at me as if to ask "Would you like me to help?". I asked Aliah if she wanted help and even before she said anything, the boy came back down and hauled Aliah up. That was not it. He actually waited for her all the way. Even till they came down the slide. Annddd.. he was still helping her when she went up again. I thanked him and asked Aliah to thank him but he just shrugged it off. Ahh.. the strong silent type. Hehehe...

I told Hubby about it later and that I remembered his name was Adam Zarith. Dan dan tu Hubby kata, "Ok, if the next one is a boy that's gonna be his name." Hahahaha!

That Vacation

Jannah says "Rock on!"


We took Friday off and headed to PD for a little getaway with the kids. Actually, we were supposed to stay at the hotel in Berjaya Time Square but somehow the reservations got screwed up. I got pissed and immediately did an alternate booking. Mind you, we found out about it on Tuesday. And we were suppose to go on Thursday. So at the end of all the commotion, we stayed here.














The place was A-ok. In fact it was quite superb. Hubby is a member of this and thus has all sorts of cheap rates for hotels all over the country. Price was reasonable seeing it was in the peak column and we got upgraded to a 2 room apartment to boot. Aliah was super duper excited because it has a swimming pool. And 2 water slides too. Memang tak sabar2 lah nak terjun dalam pool.

Seeing the happy faces on both the girls was worth it. I will now leave you with pictures.. sorang kelaparan n sorang kepenatan. Hahaha!

oh wow

I have as always been blogging in my head only to realise I have not blogged for 2 weeks already! argh!!! how la to cover back all the cerita.

and now I have 3 posts to put up. *sigh* but still, I am feeling so not in the mood to post.

well, let's just get on with the almost cerita basi first. the el3ctions. oh wow. I now live in an opposition led state. that itself is something else already. I really do hope they do a good job, not because i support them but more of because I want to see a "cleaner" government. (for the record, I am more of an atas pagar person - haha!) anyway, at least I get 20 cubic meters of free water every month now. Hahaha! Annddd.. I just want to see also how far they will fulfill their election manifesto. what with allowances for this, that and the other. and a promise of a better managed state funds etc etc. (I was going to list down all their promises but for the love of it I can't seem to find the bloody manifesto pamphlet anymore.)

after all the hiccups, finally the new state executive would be sworn in on Monday. at least, we are not the last state to have a proper state government. haha!

2 major events back-to-back.

The topic of the week now is obviously the election. But I will not even try to go there. Hehehe. I will however, put up the important highlights that was part of the new Selang0r govt manifesto - later.

The other event was the office Family Day. And we just got back. And I am just dead tired!

A lot to tell. Pictures and all.. But nanti lah ye.

8 Month Jannah

And time flies.

The only reminder I have that it has not been that long ago is the occasional numbness I get from the scar / wound.

So what is she up to now?

Well, first and foremost.. she can't stop practising "climbing". Her favorite spot would be in front of the TV. Suka sangat berdiri depan TV tu. And she has also started cruising. There has been 1-2 occasions she manage to let go and stand for the merest of a second. But I would rather that she didn't - yet. Walking would mean everyone would have to be doubly diligent. As it is now pon tak terlarat nak keep up with her.

To date, no teeth yet. But she loves biting. Sudu - bite. Botol susu - bite. Toys - bite. Selimut - bite. Nenen time - bite jugak. Bila kena reprimand tau pulak tu. And she loves to eat. Tapi kalau lambat sikit je, siap la mengamuk. Protest tak nak makan. Bubur dia still reject though. Still makes the retching sound / reaction bila kasi bubur.

She is well into separation anxiety now. She recognises Mommy, Papa, KakYaya, BibikAnik, MakLong, TokWan, TokMi, Tok. Orang lain, tengok mood and what they have to offer. Haha.

One thing we noticed, Jannah is a very determined girl. Once she put her mind to it, silalah jangan kacau. Marah ok. Tantrum jerit2 punya style. Nanti dia dah besar sket esok, I can just imagine the fights she will be having with her Kakak.

So far, she's got 2 words we understand. "Nenenenen" - obvious this one. For milk, or sometimes food. Basically to indicate she's hungry lah. "Mammama" - Mommy or Papa or even BibikAnik. Most of the time she'll call out this masa kena tinggal dalam cot. Hehehe. Apart from that, it all sounds jibberish. Although her nada and tonasi dah ada.

The best part is now she knows how to play! She loves it when we play peekaboo with her under her selimut. She loves "Itsy Bitsy Spider". She loves playing "Tickle tickle".

Oh, and she loves her TV too. She already recognises Mickey and Elm0. If someone blocks her TV view, she will move herself to another spot. Kadang-kadang tu saja sakat dia. But she doesn't care, she'll just move over. What did I say, determined that one. Hehehe.

Anyway, Aliah seems to want to play with Jannah more often now. Most of the time, if Jannah cries Aliah will be the first one to console her. And she's more willing to share, although every so often you could here her telling Jannah off. Yeah well, it's the way it will always be I guess.

You can never please them I tell you.

I am at home today, nursing a diarrhea. Trust your instincts people, if you think the food is bad.. don't eat it. No matter how hungry you are!

Anyway, the "them" I was referring to is my eldest daughter.

I thought she would be happy that I was at home today. Instead, at about 10ish she told me "Mommy, pegi keje!"

When I said, "It's ok, I'm staying home with you and Jannah today." She replied,"Tak payah."

What the?!

Ni coming from budak yang hari - hari kitorang nak pegi keje meraung - raung tak bagi pegi and having to deal with her delay tactics.

In a Nutshell

I have a headache.

The kids are doing ok. Jannah is getting more and more mobile. She could be all over the house if no one watches her. One minute she will be crawling, the next she has pulled herself up and is starting to cruise. Oh man.. I can just imagine the next couple of months. Everyone will have to be on their toes. Catching her whilst she pulls this, grabs that etc etc.

Anyway, we went to that warehouse sale in Puchong. And we bought this. And of course Aliah is so loving it. She's been so happy ever since we got it for her. No more whining for us to bring her to the t.a.m.a.n. Which is good too, cause I was told that there has been another snatch thief incident nearby. Another kid was traumatised when her necklace was ripped off while playing outside the house. The neigbourhood is just not safe anymore. *sigh*

So, yeah. Aliah loves this and best part, we get to put the slide into the ball thingy majig that we already have at home. I think it can be used with the pool too, but we haven't tried that out yet.

In another matter all together, things have suddenly taken a 180 turn in the work place. And right now, both me and Hubby are re-evaluating our positions. I know all things happen for a reason but as yet I have yet to see the good in this. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
