Aliah's 4th Birthday Party

This time around I decided to make it small. The family and some close friends. Most important was Aliah's verdict at the end of the day when she said she had lots of fun with her friends and she said thank you to her Mommy and Papa for organizing the party.

We made some spaghetti, mac n cheese, apple salad. We also had jelly and hot dogs and nuggets for the kids. By the end of the party, everything was gone! Oh sedap jugak ye.. Haha.. Although hakikatnya Hubby yang masak la kan (of course.. mana mungkin dia bagi aku kacau signature dish dia). All I did was the apple salad.

Oh, this party also marks our (Caza, Kay and mine) first trial of being a party planner of some sort. Usaha awal sebelum menjadi SAHM sepenuh masa. ;) Bersengkang mata jugak la seminggu nak siapkan goodie bag segala tu. For Aliah's party, I scout around a lot for good bargains on stuff. At the end of the day, decided to pack in chocolates mostly and then got Schey to print out the cards for me. Okay la jugak kan? Link us up please walaupon the site belum 100% up.

The party went well.. I've got no pictures to upload yet.. coz my camera-lady belum pass all the photos from the event. Oh wait.. ada lah. Sneak preview je dulu lah ye.. pix and story will follow later.

As she turn 4

Tsk.

Time flies!! I can't believe she's already four, well.. at least at precisely 331PM she will. The events of her birth is still quite fresh in my memory, the panic I felt when we had to decide on the emergency c-sect.. I really don't know at that point whether I was crying because of the pain or the fact that I was going to the OT.

Anyway, here are some of Aliah's quirks..

• she talks a lot and asks a lot - most kids do at this age.. to the point that Anik now calls her Makcik.. much to her chagrin.. and Mommy calls her Mak Nenek which she hates more. Haha!
• she still is manja n cengeng, to the point now Jannah loves to mock her. Every time she sees her Kakak mencebik, she'll ajuk the big sister.
• no daytime naps, but clockwork sleep time at night, 9pm - 730am without fail.
  
• daytime diaper free, and some nights too.. but we haven't taken off her pampers at night not because we think she can't but because the parents yang tak larat nak wake her up at night. Haha!
• enjoys the company of her cousins, especially Aishah. Actually, she can be quite friendly with kids her age. It gets difficult sometimes to tell her it's not her fault coz many kids are quite shy and not good with strangers (sometimes even territorial about whatever it is they are doing!).
• loves Ceria and Nick. but lately has been into Animax! (OMG!)
  
• still loves jigsaw puzzles. I think we need to test her to a new level of puzzles, all the 3-4 y.o. ones are too easy for her.
• knows her 123s, ABCs and AlifBaTas. almost finishing Iqra' book 1 (she would have finish if Mommy is more diligent). As it is now, she's at huruf Mim.
• Aliah is still the epitome of Kakakness, would share everything with J, and would make sure whatever she gets J gets too.

Happy Birthday Sarah Nur Aliah! Do know that Mommy, Papa and Jannah loves you very very much. And we hope that you'll grow up to become a successful Muslimah. InsyaAllah.

He's Changed

It's those little things I noticed.

The cold shoulder. The nonchalant answers. The distance. It doesn't happen all the time. It doesn't happen everyday, but enough. Enough to know that..

He's changed.

And she is 18 months old

Age : 18 months
Weight : 10.5 kg
Height : 79 cm


Currently into : books, Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Pooh, Dibo, pretty lights, car rides


She is 3-quarters of the way to becoming a toddler. Ahh.. time flies! Anyway, here's looking at her current milestones...

• loves dancing, jumping, hopping, running.
• will "read" her books, all 10 seconds worth of it.. most important is her dee enn (the end) right after she closes her book.
• scribbles - on the floor, on the comforter. basically every where lah, except on her art block and writing pad. (she's a righty, btw)
• loves to brush her own teeth and then will brush the floor, the walls, the toys with said toothbrush *sigh*
• babbles non stop, the moment she open her eyes up till the point where she can't keep her eyes open.. she will still be babbling
• takes only 1 nap daily - reluctantly!
• self feed, although still banyak yang tumpah dari yang masuk mulut
• understands the concept of play - hide n seek, play catch, monster vs superhero
• takes pants off (at the most inappropriate times I must add)
• makes animal sounds, e.g. cows go "Moo", bird goes "Tweet tweet"
• has started to appreciate dolls and teddys
• thinks NO is a play word *sigh*
• knows cows, cats, cicak (hmm.. they all start with the letter C somehow)
• counts (por, paif, six, even, naiinnn, teennnn)
  
• recognises family members including the assortment of grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunties

That was my saddest moment ever.

When I realised he had another woman in his life.
Not just any woman.. but his other wife.
