Art Time

Aliah wanted some paper yesterday. It has been a while since she took an interest with crayons and such, so I obliged. I am impressed that she can draw a face quite effortlessly now. And - she's ambidextrous. The left picture she drew with her left hand, the right with her right hand. I am not too sure whether she prefers the left hand or right hand. But honestly I am not that bothered. But she did say, "Aliah guna this hand.. sama macam Mommy kan" So, it might be that she's just trying to emulate me.

Ni pulak, while drawing she narrated. "Mommy, do you want me to draw a smiley face or a sad face?" "Sad face", I said. "Ok, look Mommy.. I'm sad because I cannot play with the kompuleter" Iye lah tu. Siap ada tears lagi tau.. berjurai2 air mata. Hahaha!


And apa saja Kakak buat, of course Adik pon nak jugak kan. So this is Jannah's first art attempt. Boleh tahan jugak la strokes dia, cuma we can't leave her alone with any stationery. Abes melukis, masuk mulut. Lukis lagi, masuk mulut. *sigh* Bertuah lah anak aku tu.

The Impromptu Hill Trip

Last weekend, we went to my uncle's new house in Tg Karang. I forgot just how far it is even though its postcode still start from 4****. It took us 2 hours to get there. Penat sey. But food was good, ye la kan.. dah jalan jauh camtu sure lapar! Anyway.. after resting and solat, we decided to make the 2 hour effort worthwhile. Dah jalan jauh-jauh.. we want to make full use of it. Besides, it wasn't like we had much of a choice. Haha. Mama insisted.

Mana lagi nak pegi kan, kalau malam boleh la tengok kelip-kelip.

So we went. 2 cars, ours and Schey's. 6 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby.

Uphill ride was easy. Being a weekend and all, of course la the trains were full. But takdela sampai bersesak and berebut.

So, as we reached the top of the hill.. we were greeted by monkeys. Dozens of monkeys. Big ones, small ones, friendly ones, garang ones. You name it. And I tell you, they are spoilt rotten! Non stop eating. Jenis yang kalau kena campak dalam hutan, tak reti dah nak cari makanan sendiri.

We spend about 15 minutes up there. Contemplating whether we wanted to go check out the museum or not when the next train arrived. 2 trains at one go pulak tu, we figured if we missed this one the next train sure lambat lagi. So we hopped on the 2nd train. And it was a good call. Because we got the driver who was quite mischievious. He was driving the train like it was a roller coaster. Oh sangat blood rush experience!

The downhill ride which should have only been 5 minutes was somehow extended to 10 minutes. He took all the longest route, and when round and round in circles. Haha. It was fun!

Went to a nearby Kopitiam and had some good old roti bakar. Yummeh! All in all, I can say no regrets at all about this little detour. :)

The Birthday

Had a July / Aug birthday bash at Mama's. It's been a while since our last sleep over. And it was fun. The kids had fun obviously. Tengok lah Idish tu, before taking this picture I told him to bukak mata besar2 kalau tak nanti tak nampak. Haha! (Cake / Cuppies from Mama Chak's seperti biasa - and this is the new oreo flavour. Yummeh!!)

Birthday Day


I got a big suprise that morning. Flowers delivery! White roses pulak tu. A dozen of them! Sangat teruja ok! Haha!! And that night, I got to do the things women love most. Shop! Wohooo.. Thank you darling!

Post Birthday

Ada eh? Haha.. well now that I am officially in my 30s, (tahun lepas in denial pasal just reach 30.. Haha!) I hope I will be a better person. I've to say, I did a bit of self - reflection and found that I still am lacking in a lot of different areas. But yeah, we try to be the best we can eh?

The Holiday

We were there for 3D2N.

The room was superb, the hotel itself was really nice. But it being August, we had a lot of Pak Arabs around.

We didn't go out at all from the confines of BTS, oh except for the "romantic stroll" along Jalan BB looking for Hubby's crocs. Yes, he has one too! I've converted him to a crocs lover too. (I honestly think I should be getting commission from crocs for this - haha!)

The evening we arrived, we took a walk around the hotel to locate where the important places are (read : swimming pool and playground). Got Jannah excited about going on the slides, as before this the only slide she's ever known is the one at home.

Malam tu had dinner at Ken.ny Ro.gers. And if you know BTS, you would know that to get to the restaurant you'd have to pass the Cosmo's World. And Aliah was all jaw dropping excited about it, she got more excited when we told her we'll be coming back here again tomorrow. Hehehe..

So early next morning, we went. And how dissappointed we were when we found out it would only open at 12pm. Adoi laa.. Pointless mall browsing is dangerous! It could lead to unnecessary shopping, which it did. *sigh* But, I am happy to report that Aliah's Dora's Dollhouse now is complete!

Anyway, tepat pukul 12 we were the 1st visitor to the park for the day. Haha! Aliah had fun with all the rides. ALL. She was brave to go on it by herself, and went again and again on her favourite ones. She's such a big girl now. Jannah however got monyok in there. She does not like loud noises. She does not like big crowds. And she was being extra clingy. Ah well..

That evening, we went swimming. And the big girl who's a big fan of the pool had no qualms whatsoever about going to the adult's pool. The little girl however, took 20 minutes to dip her feet in the pool, another 10 minutes before she decided she would splash the water, and another 15 before I could have her entirely in the pool. *sigh* But yayyy I did get her in. An achievement itself. Hah, lepas tu tak nak keluar pulak dah!

We had room service that night, and the food did not disappoint. Yummeh!

Next morning, had another pool dip. At least Jannah took only 15 minutes before she got comfortable anndddd we even manage to put her in her float! Yeahhh! But it got cold really fast even though it was almost 11am. That's one thing I don't like about pools up on 15th floor.

Kemas2, siap2 and we left.

All in all, I'd say it was a good short getaway. The kids had fun which was the whole point of the getaway, we got to run away from our normal routine albeit for a bit.

Can't wait for our October honeymoon. Haha!

Righhttt!!

It's the 21st (Happy Birthday Uda!) and I only have 1 post only. One miserable post. ONE! Tsk! Pathetic.

Anyway, right now the kids are all in Du.ta Vis.ta. Mama & Papa booked an apartment there for a whole week. Hoping to get some pool time for the kids, but the pool was / is apparently a disappointment. So, we've been there on/off. Yesterday they went to MV and had fun at the Mega.Kidz. The 2 elder cousins got to watch Wall-e with Schey & Lila. And today they'll be going to the tamans around Lake Garden - if the rain stops.

This weekend will be another busy weekend with weddings.

And next week dah start puasa.

*sigh* time sure flies..

The View

Looking out this window, I get to see the old Pudu Jail. And the 2 stadiums and a whole lot of other skyscrappers in KL.

We can't get away far, so KL is good enough I guess. Plus, it's free of course. Tehehe..

The kids are of main concern and they seem to be having the most fun.

Will update when we get back to our normal daily routine.
