Anniversary - part 2

Yes, it has to be done in parts because;

1. The 20th was a weekday and we have schooling kids who we could not abandon at will :P

2. That weekend was the only one available to fit in everyone's timeslot - ours, kids, mak

So we did manage to do it. Lucky for us our support system is strong. And for the first time, instead of sending them over to mama's, kids stayed home with mak.

As usual, this mommy was very apprehensive about leaving behind the boo-boy. Unlike his 2 kakaks, he has enjoyed being breastfed for the last 14 months and thus needs his nen to sleep at night... Thus there was the whole "are we really leaving him?" and "he's gonna be ok kan?" moments which bugged me every half hour or so.

Anyhow, we did another round of KL sleepover. Still at Impiana. Didn't have dinner there though. Walked across to the new Hyatt for that.

Dinner was simply lovely! The food was awesome - how can it not be with lobsters and scallops and trout and alaskan king crab. The live band was good. And we had a view of KLCC in the background.

Managed to get some good uninterrupted us time. Catch up on some movies. A good night sleep that does not include one kid or the other waking us up wanting this or that. Sambung tido lagi till the breakfast arrived. Haha. Bliss I tell ya.

And did Amir survive the night? Apparently he did. Some crankiness and whining. Slept late. But all in all, it was good - else we would have gotten a call at 2 in the morning wouldn't we? ;)

USS Getaway

It was sort of impromptu, what with getting Amir's passport at the last minute. And it definitely wasn't part of the year's planned out trip. But when an opportunity shows itself up, it would not be a brilliant move to snub it kan?

This would be the first time we tried to manage all 3 kids by ourselves. TRY being the operative word here. Luckily for us, there were many willing babysitters and kidsitters too. ;) [thank you guys!]

The trip itself was enjoyable. The USS was awesome. The company so much more.

We drove to JB on Friday evening. Have to say the kids do not like night time travelling unlike the parents. Haha. We checked-in to New.York.Hotel close to midnight. The reason we were staying there was because they had a package deal incl. accomodation, transport to and from USS and entrance ticket. Not bad I might add. [thank you puan organizer! :) ] It was to be the kids first coach ride and they enjoyed themselves.

Semangat nak berjalan punya pasal, we didn't have problems in waking them early and getting them ready.

By the time we got to USS, orang sikit punya ramai! Luckily, our tickets have been pre-bought. Cuma tinggal pegi guest services counter to get the Express Tix upgrade. Yes, it is SD50 a piece.. But if you factor in the waiting time, AND if you even WANT to go on any rides at all maka sila lah keluarkan duit lebih sikit. Even rides bodo pon ada waiting time of 30-45 minutes.

As Amir was still not viable for most rides, we had to take turns taking the 2 girls. Hence, the express tix was extra handy.

Most rides are pretty awesome. The 4D and 3D attractions are most popular I believe. Specifically the Transformers ride. Aliah even went on the roller coaster ride twice! J decided that she was extra tired and fell asleep by mid afternoon. Good thing too as she was getting reaaalllyyyy cranky and testing Mommy's patience to the max. 

We didn't get to see too many characters though. As it rained twice! Luckily most rides were still accessible.  

All in all, superb quick getaway. 

The thing about going by coach would be that we need to embark-disembark a couple of times. Masa pegi takpe lah lagi. By the time balik, kids dah tak larat. The parents pon dah tak larat. Agak mencabar lah jugak. But it was a good experience. And it proved to us (me and Hubby) that we can manage without the maid. Agak penat. But still viable. 

If we could improve on certain aspects, would definitely want to stay inside Sentosa itself. So we could come back in for the fireworks at night. Or even go back for a quick rest / nap. And come back fresh to attack the rides again. And if we were to come back again, it would be after Amir has reached the 102cm height. So that all of us can go together on the rides. 

Will we go back? Yes, InsyaAllah. :)

MPC FD 2012

It was a fun-filled sunburnt weekend.

Most importanty, the kids had fun.

Second most importantly, good news from the boss.

Alhamdulillah for all the good things we get to enjoy for the last 6 years. And hopefully more for the years to come, insyaAllah.

And our luck continues, Alhamdulillah ;)

JJCM :: Penang - Part 2

Day 2 was a quiet spend it at the hotel day. The girls were happy enough to spend hours in the bathtub. And then they had lots of fun at the hotel's kid's club. And in all honesty, that day marked their first experience of having lunch at a warong stall by the roadside. 

We took a stroll by the beach and the girls went swimming too that evening. The plan was to go out for dinner, but unfortunately it rained so it was another order in night for us.

Day 3 was when all the fun happened. I was feeling much better too at that point, so we did a whole lot of walking. First stop was breakfast of roti canai and believe it or not, nasi kandar (for hubby of course)! We chose to go to the Butterfly Farm first before it started to get hot. I definitely recommend this place as a must visit if you have kids. And I have to say, it is much much much better than the one in KL. Price wise was OK too, we got the family package which costs us RM46 for 2 adults + 2 kids. One thing to point out was they had staff doing rounds and giving detailed explanation to the visitors on everything there is to see. And the staff knew their stuff well!

Our next stop was the Teluk Bahang dam - just for the sake of it!

Next was the fun train ride going up the hill - Bukit Bendera. Seeing it was the weekend, of course you would expect more people. Again thanks to the family package, we paid RM18 for a 2 adults + 2 kids 2-way ticket. It is not that cold anymore up the hill, unlike how I remembered it 25 years ago. We took the buggy to explore the hill and our driver told us of all the tales of the hills (including gossips about the owners of the houses on the hill!)

We then had lunch and I had the yummiest scones I have ever tasted in my whole life!

By the time we took the train back down, I was soo tired already. But the kids were all still so hyper, and wanted to build sandcastles by the beach. So terpaksa lah Papa yang bring them. Mommy got some much needed rest, albeit just for a little while. 

Just because Mommy wanted her Rojak Techno (search youtube with Penang Rojak Techno as keywords and you will find him for sure) for dinner, we braved traffic to get to Gurney Drive for it. Kids were sangat penat by this time, and Jannah even fell asleep at the kedai despite the noise and uncomfortable-ness. 

Day 4 - time to go home.. Took the ferry back to the mainland and the kids loved it! Detour to Semanggol to attend a wedding and took our own sweet time to get back. Tired as they were, the kids slept most of the way home. It was a good outing I would say. We didn't finish exploring Penang yet, hopefully another trip up north will be in the books next year.

JJCM :: Penang - part 1

Just US vacation

We planned it rather as a sepintas lalu kind of thing.. We knew that we couldn't wait for the school hols as by that time I would most likely be "home-bound". And as the girls already had their exams, it seems like the perfect time for a getaway.

The plan was to leave early, as we didn't want to get stuck with the evening traffic in Penang. But, yes plans always have a way of screwing itself up. Or rather, Allah has better plans for us. I wasn't feeling very well (still not actually) so I couldn't really be running around doing the packing. In fact, I had to take a break every 20 minutes else I would be on the verge of fainting.

We finaaalllyy got to leave home at 3. And after the detours and pitstops, we were on the highway at 4. It was an overall uneventful journey if you discount J vomitting in the car somewhere near Taiping right about Maghrib. That set us back another hour.

After taking a few wrong turns enroute to Batu Feringgi, we finally checked-in the hotel at 930pm. Too tired to go out, dinner was an order in affair. J, who slept after the incident in Taiping was all so chirpy and only fell asleep around midnight (I think, no one knows for sure as everyone else was already asleep by then)

Feb - Bali : We went and fell in love with this place. And we keep on going back again and again and again.

Sept - Kuching : Took Aliah on her first plane trip.

2007

Feb - Bali : need I say more?

Nov - Langkawi : the first Arshad clan vacation - it was necessary as Papa was on recovery from his surgery. It was also Jannah's first vacay + first plane trip.

2008

Feb - KL : We stayed right smack in the middle of town for our getaway and suprised ourselves by having a lot fun!

March - PD : Utilised some free nights from Orient.Rewards

May - Bandung : went on a shopping trip with collegues. Wohoo!

Aug - KL : Utilised more free nights from Orient.Rewards

Oct - Bali : HRH upgraded us and gave us VIP treatment during this trip. Nice.

2009

July - Bangkok : Decided to do something different. BKK is a one-time trip only. Not my cup of tea.

Oct - Melaka : Utilised some more free nights from Orient.Rewards

Nov - Bandung : a shopping trip! Wheee~ I managed to persuade Hubby to go for this trip. When we came back he said, "We're going to do that kind of trip once in 2-3 years" Yaayyy!

2010

May - Bali : Trip with Mak. We were supposed to go for another honeymoon trip in Feb, but had to fore go due to Hubby's work commitments. I was extremely pissed!

Aug - Cyberjaya : this was a much needed time off, as it was right after the miscarriage and timely enough coincided with my birthday!

Dec - Melaka & PD : weekend getaway to A.Famosa with Mak & a PD picnic with the Arshad clan.

I still owe a post on the PD picnic during the school hols. But sungguh tiada mood disitu. I do however want to story about one incident that happened during the picnic. And it has something to do with the cheeky girl in the pic.

You see, unlike her sister and her cousins, she refused to touch the ocean. At all. She didn't even want to change to her swimsuit. She was content to playing with the sand by the beach. Until she got cranky. And insist to go home. Tsk.

After lunch, all the kids went for another dip. So I was actually calling them back as it was panas yang amat at that point. (It was about 3pm after all) When I came back to our spot, I looked around for Jannah and couldn't see her. Anik was not around too, so at first I thought she was with Anik. But Anik came back from the toilet - ALONE - and then all hell broke lose and everyone started panicking as Jannah was not accounted for and was nowhere to be found! 

We searched EVERYWHERE within the 100m radius, the toilet, the bath area, the shops. And she was still nowhere to be seen. It was in all honesty the longest 10 minutes of my life.

At the point where I was already hyperventilating of all the horrible horrible things that could have happened (na'uzubillah), she came within view (with her cheeky smile I might add), holding hands with her Tok. Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. No words could have described my feelings.

You know where her Tok found her? About 500m away from where we were. 500m! According to her Tok, she was happily enjoying her little walk by the beach, oblivious to her surroundings. It was a stroke of luck(?), God's will, I would say that Tok was coming back from solat at the surau in exactly the direction Jannah was heading. 

It could have been so easy for anyone who was so inclined to just take her. She was after all holding on to her iPod then. And also had her gold anklet with her. I honestly feel faint every time I think about it.

Mama reminded me to do my sujud syukur, which I did. And I am. Syukur. Blessed. To feel for even 10 minutes how upside down and horrible the world could have been. That is something I hope I never have to feel ever again.

Jalan - Jalan I

It all started when Aliah told her TokWan,

"TokWan, kakak Aishah nanti masa cuti sekolah pegi Langkawi dengan TokMak dia. TokWan nak bawak saya pegi mana?"

Bertuah punya anak. So yeah, that's how we ended up with a weekend getaway to A Fa.mo.sa Resort in Melaka. We booked a 3 bedroom villa, and it was just nice for the 7 of us (Mak, Aunty, Hubby, me, Aliah, Jannah & Anik)

We left for Melaka after Friday prayers and by 430pm we were already at the resort. Went straight to check-in, settled in at the villa and rest a bit. As soon as she saw the pool, Aliah started to pester us to go swimming. (the ONLY con to having your own private pool!) Told her to wait till 530 before we would take a dip.

By 530, both girls were ready in their swim attire and waiting for the go ahead to plunge into the pool. J sangat mengelat. Haha. She would only get in if her Papa is giving her a "piggy ride" (or what she refers to as the dolphin ride). Most of the time she would only be dipping her feet by the side of the pool. 

That night we went for dinner at the chinese restaurant in the Cow.boy Town. And whilst there had a fun time watching their parade. Note: this fun time excludes J though as she refuse to look / comment / get down from being carried through out the show. I guess, she still has a thing against loud noise / dark area - which is also why she's still not allowed to follow us to the movies. Yang kelakarnya, Hubby took a video of the whole parade and right now that is the only thing she watches day in day out on her iPod! Tuh pon lagi satu bertuah punya anak. Kakak had a fun time though, even participating in the dance when invited to do so.

Next morning, hujan lebat. But that didn't stop us from going to the Safari. Of course this was were Jannah was in her element. She loved the whole safari experience. We spent the whole day here, going from one show to another and even taking a boat ride to the Mon.key island. Agak scary ye boat ride itu, as it was raining and the boat was taking in water as if it was going to sink at any point. 

One thing to note, they have incorporated a set lunch together with the entry ticket. So for RM40+ per adult (can't remember exact figure), you get full access to the park and lunch which was pretty decent. Quite a good bargain if you ask me. 

Melaka, during weekends especially if it is school hols time is jammed pack with people. Luckily we left early-ish for dinner. Or else memang kebulur dalam kereta dulu la sebelum sampai. And I would recommend you try the Ikan Ba.kar Mu.ara Sg Du.yong. Extremely sedap, and cheap to boot! Licin lah jugak semua pinggan atas meja tu.

Next day, we splashed in the pool a bit more. J refused though. Refused to the point of tak nak tukar baju swimming langsung. She was running around the pool still in her jammies. Cute. She is absolutely the yang to her Kakak's yin. Total opposite. Still equally adorable.

We left close to noon, with everyone feeling happy.

The Birthday Weekend Getaway

Hubby gave me a semi-suprise birthday treat last weekend. One week before my actual birthday (which is today actually). I have been whining about wanting a spa session and was hoping I could get one before puasa. Before we checked-in (as check-in time is later in the day anyways), we brought the girls to Mak's LPM Family Day at the Putrajaya Lakeside near Pullman. It was a lovely day and the girls enjoyed some time playing with the sand by the lake.  

After coming back from playschool, we dropped the kids at Mama's before heading for Cyberview Lodge. The place was lovely! I absolutely loved the room. Ada sikit jadi jakun la with the poster bed. The whole chalet area was strategically placed facing the pool or lake. Really serene! As soon as we arrived, a cake was brought over by one of the hotel employee. I think when Hubby mentioned cake, they assumed that we are newly weds and thus instead of "Happy Birthday" the cake had a "Congratulations" written on it. Hahaha!

After resting a bit, it was time for my long awaited spa session. And it was blissful! 4 hours of absolute pleasure. I was drifting in and out of sleep the whole time and felt so good afterwards. Came back to the room, and had food waiting. Oh sungguh sedap!

Hari esoknya, we just relaxed while enjoying the serenity of the place sebelum check-out and picked the girls up from Mama's. 

Another year yet.. I hope and pray that it will make me a wiser person and a better Muslim, insyaAllah..

Bali Again - part 2

Day 3

Mak & Aunty left early to go to Jalan Sulawesi. The rest decided to stay behind and catch up on some sleep. Hehe.. Today's activity would be to head out to Turtle Island. Siswanto brought us to Tanjung Benoa where we boarded our boat. Before that, Yon had a turn on parasailing. Pretty awesome.

The boat ride to Turtle Island was about 30 minutes. We stopped in the middle of the ocean for a feed the fish session. Laut mmg sangat cantek dan jernih lah kat sini. Anyway, this is our first time to the Turtle Island and both girls had a good time with the animals here. Amazing that the island is managed by volunteers who care for all the animals there. I guess Bali is still one of those places where monetary gain is not primary on their list of concerns.

Lunch was a mixture of rojak and bakso and such that we bought by the roadside.

And then everyone just lazed around in the room kepenatan.

Bali Again - part 1

Our 4th trip (Hubby's 5th if you count him going earlier this year with his team). This time around, it was a family trip with Mak.. so the whole gang came. Aunty & Yon, both kids and we brought Anik along too.

Day 1

The day started early for us, the flight was at 0850 hrs so we needed to be at the airport by 7am the latest. Aliah was up easy, as she knows what was in store for her that day. Waking J up was the hardest part of course, but since she slept pretty early the night before it was relatively easy to get her to take her bath. I got about 2 hours of sleep that night what with coming home late after finishing up my part in the tender and then packing all the 3 bags.

Received an sms telling the flight was delayed to 1000 hrs as we reached the airport so we actually had ample time to lepak, much to J's dismay. Kept insisting to go on the jet plane. Since we had time, decided to go on the aerotrain for the kids sake. At least that made Jannah happy for a while. Flight left on time and soon we were in the air. Miss chatterbox was having her conversations with her imaginary friend(s) all the time. She fell asleep soon enough though, and Mommy can finally get some peace n quiet. Haha!

We arrived at Bandara Ngurah Rai, went pass the Immigration and collected our bags without a hitch. Siswanto was already waiting for us outside, and immediately had our first nasi padang for the trip. Next stop, Mercure Hotel. We had to wait for our rooms a bit and then everyone settled in for a bit of a rest. I fell asleep immediately and didn't want to wake up 3 hours later. Haha. I was that tired.

Ended day 1 with walking around Kuta.

Day 2

Day started early as we were headed for Tegallalang. Along the way made stops at Batuan, Celuk, Mas. At the silversmith, Mak managed to haggle her way to get a pretty bracelet. The kids got a seashell each much to Jannah's happiness. Earlier on when we stopped at Rip.curl, she threw a tantrum when we told her we were leaving as she was having a fun time playing at their kids' corner in the shop. Siap guling2 tak nak balik nih. And cuteness as she is, bila marah cakap "Achoom, achoom!"

Then on to our favourite stop at the painting gallery. Bought 5 paintings there, to add to our collection. Not all shops were open along the Tegallalang stretch as it was their Kuningan celebration (similar to our Raya celeb). Even still, we managed to buy 3 more paintings. Haha! Memang kitorang gila painting. But in my defence, it was really cheap! And sangat cantek. Lunch was late, and everyone was cranky. Had another round of nasi padang somewhere in Ubud.

Siswanto then brought us to Jalan Sulawesi where they sell all the kain ela. As both kids were asleep at this point, it would have been difficult to do any shopping. So, decided to do Jalan Sulawesi the next morning sans the kids. Next stop was at Kampung Bali, a one stop center for all things Bali. Got some souvenirs here and Aliah got a Ben10 watch which she loved. Jannah threw a tantrum again, this time because she didn't want to leave as she was having fun playing with all the musical instruments there. In the end she conceded to leave with the Korean drum thing.

Our last stop was at the roadside lalapan stall to get our nasi bungkus. As always the sambal is awesome! After dinner, left the kids in the room with Anik while all the adults walked around Kuta again. This time we walked all the way to Discovery mall. As it was getting late, tak sempat nak shop around sangat.

And am still in the office. *sigh*

But never the mind, the next couple of days would be offline. (wonder if I would get withdrawal symptoms? - haha!)

Hyperventilating

2 days to go!

Panic panic!

I've not packed, I've not done any "anticipating" to prevent catastrophic disasters (ye sangat over di situ).

We've never been on a flight bound vacation with the girls, and this would also mark Jannah's first plane ride (the one where we went to Langkawi when she was 3 months old does not count). So, yes, I am borderline paranoid panicky here.

AND AND there's a tender closing on the day we're leaving, so that is bugging me also.

*breathe nana breathe*

Heartbroken

Yes, you read right.

And no, this is not fiction.

If you notice on the side bar, we were supposed to be on our honeymoon at this time. *supposed* there being the operative word.

Anyway, because I don't blog about work etc; I will not say much.

Suffice to say, I am heartbroken.

AND I AM PISSED because we got screwed over NOTHING!

... I keep on chanting "ada hikmahNya, ada hikmahNya", over and over but for now it still is not working.. and I am still heartbroken.

Back-date Post : Jalan - Jalan Melaka

This is a belated post. A very belated post. I hope I can remember the details. Hehe.


We went for a 3d2n getaway with the kids n brought Anik along with us too. Utilising the free nights from 0rient Rewards, we stayed at the E.ver.ly Hotel situated along the Tg Kling road. We left a bit late on Saturday, as there were earlier commitments we needed to attend to. But as it was a holiday, so we didn't see the point of rushing.

After checking-in, we lazed around a bit before deciding to go out for dinner. Not really in the mood for any ikan bakar, we went into town in hopes of finding a Nyo.nya restaurant. We found a few, but there were no parking in the vicinity. Finding a parking spot in town during the weekends is quite a challenge. In the end, we went to Dataran Pahlawan and had.. NLA! Haha. It was my first experience of having NLA outside from the Kg Bharu outlet, and I have to say it does not live up to the standards. I'd much rather go to Kg Bharu itself or even have nasi lemak Mak.Wanjor.

Next morning, we wanted to swim but it was raining. Plus, Aliah wanted some toys she could use whilst main pasir. So, we decided to go back into town and head to the mall to look for the toys. Dah alang-alang ada in town, we went to a couple of the tourist-y sites. Went up The Eye. And went to the ship. Wanted to take the boat ride, but the queue was too long. Basically, out of all the things to do there, those were the only tourist-y thing we did. For one, we didn't feel the kids would enjoy all the other stuff and also Melaka during the weekends is just so damn packed with people!


Head back to the hotel, but first we stop by the roadside to buy some really mouth-watering coconut shake. Bess gile! Dah la depan hotel je the stall.

As soon as we reached the room, both kids bugged us to go down and swim. I told them to rest first, and we'll go down when it's not so hot. I really don't know where they get all their energy. Mommy and Papa dah nak pensan kepenatan and they still can run and jump around. Jannah still has some reservations about being in the pool, but Aliah just loves it! I think next year we can think about sending her for proper swimming lessons.

All along, Hubby wanted to stop at this Chinese Muslim restaurant but each time we either missed the junction or the kids were asleep or something or other. And that day, we missed the timing. Lunch was until 3pm only, and we arrived 5 after 3. So kecewa again. To make up for that, we decided to go for dinner. Walaupon tau that both girls might be cranky and tired. But redahkan jua, nak makan punya pasal. And true enough, the food was delicious! Murah pulak tu. So, if you are in the area please go and visit. Confirm tak menyesal. We had a little chat with the owners. 2 ladies who's been friends for years, one of them is Malay and the other is Chinese Muslim. Apparently they told us, they've just been open for 15 days.


Monday morning, both girls had lots of fun at the beach. It's the first time for both of them to actually main kat pantai. J got cranky when we dragged her away from there. It was almost 11 and the day was really hot! Dah la I forgot to bring sunscreen for anak-anak orang putih dua orang tuh.


We went back up to pack, and left the hotel promptly at 1230. But our holiday was not yet over. Next stop : A Fam0sa Res0rt. Yeayy~! Heaven tau pegi situ on a Monday. T.a.k.d.e. o.r.a.n.g! I guess it is also because they close the Water Park on Mondays, so the crowd is down by half. Anyway, we arrived just in time for the start of the shows. Cowboy show, Animal Show, Bird Show & Elephant Show. Aliah enjoyed herself tremendously. Jannah, seperti biasa.. tutup telinga. Haiih... She only enjoyed the elephants. By then, both girls were tired. Masuk kereta, salin baju, minum susu and tidooo.

Verdict : Excellent trip, great bonding time with the girls.

Jalan - Jalan Shopping

Haa.. amek ko title. Haha. But that is the truth. We went for 2 days, and all we did was shop!

Oh, and it felt a little bit like the amazing race too.

We left on Friday, flight was supposed to be at 2030 hrs. Knowing how Fridays are, I knew I had to leave early. Wanted to take the day off, but I had meetings the whole day which I can't escape from. *sigh* So, the 2nd meeting finished at 5ish and terus gelabah2 balik. But too late, the roads were already packed by then. Habis segala jalan aku cilok nih. Luckily too I was the one driving, if not kesian la Hubby ku kena marah tak pasal2. Hahaha!

Anyway, we arrived home at 10 to 7. And we need to be at the airport in 30 minutes. Papa terus jadik F1 driver nak hantar kitorang. Hehe.. In a way, nasib baik jugak rushing.. takde la rasa sedih sangat to leave the girls behind. And nasib baik jugak I already did the web check-in much earlier. Kitorang sampai ngam2 45 minutes before ETD.

Pastu, flight delayed sejam. Ceh. Buat penat je gelabah. Haha!

We arrived in Ban.dung at 2230hrs local time. (Ban.dung time is -1hr from M'sia) The hotel concierge was waiting for us at the airport, so it was not that much of a hassle. Luggage pun keluar awal, Alhamdulillah. Our supir took us directly to Per.da.na Wi.sa.ta hotel. The hotel was quite nice. You know it's been there for years, but yet it didn't look so rundown.

Even though local time is -1hr from our time, daylight n dusk is exactly like M'sia - even earlier I think. So the next morning when we woke up at 6am local time, it was already so terang. And I was so counting to qada' my beauty sleep. *sigh*

We spent that whole day S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G.

First stop was at Pa.sar Ba.ru, then we went to Jalan Riau / Dago. After that it was straight to Ru.mah Mo.de. And finally dinner in Ci.ham.pe.las. And somewhere along the way, we stopped at Rab.ba.ni. I love this shop, walaupun sekarang dah jadi client tetap an-nisaa'. Bought quite a few tudungs there. While we were there, it was time for Maghrib prayers. They made an announcement that business will cease operation for the next 10 minutes and everyone was invited to solat jemaah together. Cool kan?

The next day we went back to Pa.sar Ba.ru as there were some things that we forgot to buy. Pa.sar Ba.ru and the hotel was just 10 minutes walk away. After that we just relaxed at the hotel a bit before checking out.

Then our amazing race started again. We timed it perfectly, i.e. to leave 3 hours before ETD. However, Hubby bought one of those ready-in-a-day suit, and we were waiting for it to be delivered to the hotel. And we waited. And waited. Waited. For almost 1 hour! Finally we got word that the suit was still in Pa.sar Ba.ru, so we told our supir to drive us there. Lucky for us we got a really good supir, he brought us to all the back roads and parked behind the market. Me n Hubby then ran up and had to wait again as the suit was still being delivered to the market. Grrrr... Memang tahap sabar tinggi betul haritu. Haha!

Lucky for us too that we had the web check-in done, so we arrived at the airport with still ample time.

Tiring. But exceptionally happy. Retail therapy is always good for the soul. ;-)
