First Sports Day

Honestly, I am still tired even though the event was yesterday. Haha. Over lah kan? Anyway, Aliah had fun, her blue team won 2nd and 3rd for both their events and I must say I was quite impressed with her determination and speed! Never thought she'd be anywhere close to being a minah sport but I may be wrong there. We shall see. Hehehe..

For their march past, she had on a butterfly costume. Kudos to the teachers I have to say. All the kids looked absolutely adorable.

My only peeve was that they only had the kindy event much later (for those who are at lost; Aliah goes to Sri.Ayesha - it's a total kindy, primary and secondary school rolled in one). Come on la, we know how well these kids' attention span are. I would have thought they'd get it done as quickly as possible. Ah well.

Semoga rezeki yang Allah berikan ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebaik-baiknya. Dan janganlah jadikan ianya penyebab bagi kami menjadi lupa diri. Amin.

CNY Weekend

After postponing it for so many weeks; the girls were not well, weather was not sunny, Mommy & Papa was not well - we finally went to the KL.Bird.Park. Very interesting, especially if your kids are outdoor adventurers and animal enthusiast. We left late, it was the holidays and I didn't want to rush for something we were doing for fun and spoil it by rushing. (I read this back and am wondering if people would understand what I'm trying to say)

Anyway, we arrived there close to midday and found the parking all full! Hmm.. everyone seems to have the same idea. We decided to park a bit further at the Lake Gardens parking, and walked back to the park entrance. Kerna bawak single stroller, Aliah sudah complain kena jalan jauh. Haha. Entrance fee is acceptable for locals, and you get further discount if you have Jcard. If you have more than 1 Jcard, bawak semua - as the discount is given per card.

Yer, tiada gambar burung.. masih menanti DSLR. Huhuhu.. We stayed until 4ish. On the way back, both kids dah pensan.

And because of that, I know there was no way they were going to go to sleep early. Might as well go all out. Haha. Malam tu, we headed for Sun.way Py.ra.mid's Beryl Park - named after the Beryl chocs. What got me interested to go was actually because a few days before that, we (as in me and Hubby) went to Py.ra.mid Bowl and I saw this ferris wheel. And it was indoors! And I thought, hey.. the kids would enjoy this. And they did. Glad to know that Jannah seems to enjoy all this more now, compared to dolu-dolu. The way they operate is you buy a ticket and you top-up X amount of RM, depending on what you think your kids would want to ride. We spent a total of RM35 for them to go on the ferris wheel (with Mommy), the merry-go-round, and for Aliah to go on the train and plane rides. OK la. For kids, under the age of 8. Haha. But the girls loved it.

Aliah's Nemo Party

Tsk.. Bad Mommy! Dah sebulan lebih dah buat party.. tapi gambar pon tak upload. Cerita pon tak. Tsk.. Anyway, a belated post on Aliah's party. Held 3 days before her actual birthday. This year, slight change of venue. The plan was to have a pool party, tapi hujan. So, jadi pool side party je. Haha.

It was a success, I would say.

Thanks to Mak & Aunty Nor who helped out a lot with the logistics and the food. And to Mama & Papa who provided more logistics and food. Haha!

6 years on..

Remember the anniversary tree? One year on.. and Alhamdulillah it is growing bigger. Just like our love. ;) Nasib baik tak jadi macam pokok palm, kalau tak haru! Haha..

I have to say, our love is stronger now than it was 6 years ago. And hopefully, it will continue to grow stronger.

Lesson Learnt

When you lose something,

that you didn't even know you wanted in the first place..

and you get disappointed.

It tells you,

that you actually wanted it to begin with.

It has happened again.

But, everything happens for a reason. Aku redha, and believe it is for the best.

Kisah Homework

As soon as we got home yesterday, Aliah promptly and happily showed us her book from school while declaring "Mommy, I have homework to do".

Mommy terus sakit jantung.

Jam dah pukul 8.30. Dinner belum, tido by 9.30.

MANA SEMPAT NAK BUAT NIH?

True enough, after dinner kawan tu dah melepek depan TV. Mengantuk katanya. So, I told her if I woke her up early tomorrow morning would she be able to finish her homework. Promptly nod her head and happy about not having to do her homework then. Tapi lepas tu, boleh pulak mintak nak main Pet.ville . Sabar je lah! Air mata dah jurai-jurai dah ni when Papa said NO.

In the end, she got things her way. Bukan takat Pet.ville .. Fish.ville and Ha.ppy A.qua.rium pun dia main.

Cue this morning.

We all know she's a morning person right. So, woke her up at 7. She turned over "Kejap, give me 2 minutes." and promptly went back to sleep. Bole?? First time ever ni refuse to wake up. But true to her word, 2 minutes later she woke up.

Took her bath, got her ready for school and promptly sat her on her study table.

Selepas rounds of

"Mommy, gatal kaki / tangan / belakang lah"

"Mommy, I can't find my eraser"

"Mommy, does the 'b' have a round this way or that way"

"Mommy, I have to go to the toilet"

Finally siap.

All in all, I'd say it was successful.

I hope she doesn't bring back any homework today. :)
