Our Trips

This is a self-reminder post for the purpose of:

*being grateful for all that we have

*being aware that although he doesn't do romantic or mushiness ALL the time, he loves me VERY MUCH and that is what counts

*remembering all the good times we've had over the last 7 years

[this includes all trips; just us, with the kids, with the families (both mine n Hubby)]

2004

March - KK : our honeymoon. It was an all expense paid by my FIL. 

2005

May - Cherating : Our first family vacation. Aliah was only 5 months at this point and had her first swimming lesson ;)

2006

Feb - Bali : We went and fell in love with this place. And we keep on going back again and again and again.

Sept - Kuching : Took Aliah on her first plane trip.

2007

Feb - Bali : need I say more?

Nov - Langkawi : the first Arshad clan vacation - it was necessary as Papa was on recovery from his surgery. It was also Jannah's first vacay + first plane trip.

2008

Feb - KL : We stayed right smack in the middle of town for our getaway and suprised ourselves by having a lot fun!

March - PD : Utilised some free nights from Orient.Rewards

May - Bandung : went on a shopping trip with collegues. Wohoo!

Aug - KL : Utilised more free nights from Orient.Rewards

Oct - Bali : HRH upgraded us and gave us VIP treatment during this trip. Nice.

2009

July - Bangkok : Decided to do something different. BKK is a one-time trip only. Not my cup of tea.

Oct - Melaka : Utilised some more free nights from Orient.Rewards

Nov - Bandung : a shopping trip! Wheee~ I managed to persuade Hubby to go for this trip. When we came back he said, "We're going to do that kind of trip once in 2-3 years" Yaayyy!

2010

May - Bali : Trip with Mak. We were supposed to go for another honeymoon trip in Feb, but had to fore go due to Hubby's work commitments. I was extremely pissed!

Aug - Cyberjaya : this was a much needed time off, as it was right after the miscarriage and timely enough coincided with my birthday!

Dec - Melaka & PD : weekend getaway to A.Famosa with Mak & a PD picnic with the Arshad clan.

2011

# Aliah had her first house chore today - doing the dishes. And she was doing great. I gave her a hand with the rinsing and putting the dishes away. You could tell she was really proud of herself.

# Jannah still has issues with small kids. More specifically if the kid is a boy. And somehow said kid will ALWAYS want to tag along with her.

# During her Maulidur Rasul celebration in school, Aliah was awarded with the "Tokoh Maulidur Rasul" of the year. Amazing eh?

# Try as I might, we (me & Aliah that is) have not managed to persuade Jannah to the idea of another baby in the house. She adamantly says "No" each time. Haihh...

# I'm still high on the whole getaway thing *sigh*

Anniversary Tree

I posted about it last year here and the one where we bought it was here

We bought it to mark our 5th anniversary. And now we are at our 7th. Wow.

I am awed that I have been blessed with such love.

Next post will be about the road trip.. but for now I leave you with The Tree.

Lemonade

This is my limau + pandan corner. We've had them for almost a year now. And now, finally it is showing some fruits.

This one has been with us longer, got it the same time we planted the anniversary tree - which is almost 2 yrs now. Much bigger and more abundance with fruit nowdays.

I love the smell of daun limau purut. Best gila bila tgk dia start berbunga n berbuah.

And this one, I can't wait for the buah to grow.. so that I can make my own lemonade!

Gigi Susu

Last Thursday, I realised one of Aliah's permanent tooth has started to grow even though her gigi susu is still there. As it was cuti panjang we had to wait until today to go to the dentist to get it out, although I did tell Aliah I can take it out for her. But she insist on seeing the dentist, so dentist it is then.

I have to say, I was extremely proud of her. She sat on the chair, and waited patiently while the dentist extracted her tooth. Not a peep, cry etc out of her. 5 minutes later, tooth all gone.

Ah.. she's a big girl already. She's gonna sport that toothless grin for a while now. :D

J upon realising Kakak's front tooth is missing; promptly rallied a search party for said tooth

"Oh no! Kakak's tooth is missing.. Tooth, where are you tooth?? Come out, come out wherever you are!"
