End of Q1

How time flies.

Dah nak April.

Which means I have been home for the last 10 months.. Wow!

Never would I have imagined this path 10 years ago.

But that is what having kids do to you. It makes you change your priorities. It makes you realise things are not just about you. It is about putting the tiny little ones ahead of your wants and needs. Always.

Sounds too much?

It would seem so. But you tend to do it without even realising it sometimes. And then you remember that you were entrusted to bring them up to be a good Muslim and caliph.

I just pray that I am pushing them into the right direction. I need to be pushing
myself MORE towards that direction too.

15 months!

He keeps amazing me on a daily basis. And that is with me being at home to watch him grow. If I were to still be working, I'll be missing out on all of this. *count your blessings*

To date;
Weighs 8.6kgs and is 74cm tall.

I checked on the height wall that he is taller than kakak Jannah was at this age and we all know Jannah is taller than Aliah. So we all know where this is heading right? ..... Mommy will soon be the shortest! Hahaha..

Let's see.. He finally has 4 full front teeth now. And the top two are big ass bunny rabbit sized. Hehehe.. Damn hurts when he bites!

Has started to scribble and would spend some quiet time doodling with his crayon and paper. Scribble on floor - checked. On carpet - checked. On wardrobe - checked. He probably haven't found an empty wall spot due to kak Jannah's dilligence. ;)

And I am suddenly at a blurr.

If I do an abrupt end for this post will it be acceptable? Hehe..

[boys and cars can't be separated can they?]

Anniversary - part 2

Yes, it has to be done in parts because;

1. The 20th was a weekday and we have schooling kids who we could not abandon at will :P
2. That weekend was the only one available to fit in everyone's timeslot - ours, kids, mak

So we did manage to do it. Lucky for us our support system is strong. And for the first time, instead of sending them over to mama's, kids stayed home with mak.

As usual, this mommy was very apprehensive about leaving behind the boo-boy. Unlike his 2 kakaks, he has enjoyed being breastfed for the last 14 months and thus needs his nen to sleep at night... Thus there was the whole "are we really leaving him?" and "he's gonna be ok kan?" moments which bugged me every half hour or so.

Anyhow, we did another round of KL sleepover. Still at Impiana. Didn't have dinner there though. Walked across to the new Hyatt for that.

Dinner was simply lovely! The food was awesome - how can it not be with lobsters and scallops and trout and alaskan king crab. The live band was good. And we had a view of KLCC in the background.

Managed to get some good uninterrupted us time. Catch up on some movies. A good night sleep that does not include one kid or the other waking us up wanting this or that. Sambung tido lagi till the breakfast arrived. Haha. Bliss I tell ya.

And did Amir survive the night? Apparently he did. Some crankiness and whining. Slept late. But all in all, it was good - else we would have gotten a call at 2 in the morning wouldn't we? ;)

That many many hats

When Mommy is asked (read : forced) to help Kakak make a sock puppet for her English class today, of course J wants a piece of the action too. After a full day outing with them, prepping dinner for Hubby (nasib baik la fruits je dinner nya), getting Amir to sleep - baru la dapat buat the 2 creatures.

All in all it took me 2 and half hours to finish up both these puppets. Basically the ideas and materials were all them, I just helped with the superglue-ing (for the eyes) and the sewing - seeing that neither one of them has been allowed to use the needle and thread yet. (of which, Aliah promptly asked me when can she start learning to sew - I replied when you are 9 - that got me thinking pulak on what should she start with - I was thinking on cross-stitching ok kan?)

Jannah's puppet is a cat called PomPom (though I think it could pass as a mouse). The blue pompoms by the ears are actually earrings - in case you were wondering. Aliah's puppet is a snake. With ribbons on her head (so yes, it is a she - nama dia Slytherin though - haha!)

And yes, they slept late last night because they wanted to finish it of. And J woke up crying this morning because one of PomPom's earrings came off.

Hubs asked me, how long does the support and maintenance last for these creatures.. I really have no idea.. *sigh*
