Week 38

Penat.

Tired.

Reflux.

Nerve Pain.

Back Ache.

You name it. It's all there.

But, I am grateful Baby is still happy in the tummy.

And I am happy that my checklist are being ticked and getting done. The only nagging chore left is spring cleaning the girls' room. *sigh*

Update on the c-sect date; we don't have one. Haha! As in, 2/2 has been postponed. And as of now, new date has not been selected. 

Waiting for them to get in touch with Doc Kham, and get back to me. So yeah. Waiting game. It's ok. There's a reason for things to happen this way. 

Biiznillah, all will be well.

Weaning

After he turned 2 and seeing that his baby brother will be out soon, the thought of weaning him has been going through my mind. In all honesty, I really do not know how to go about doing it. In one hand, it was our bonding moment.. a ritual if you may. The only time of the day where I felt really important and connected to him. On the other, he is 2 and I have completed my obligation to give him what was best for him (plus, I really did not want to encourage early contraction and stuff like that)

In a way, the transition has been made.. With the feeding being at night only ever since being pregnant. Only sometimes would he ask during the day and since he always asks so nicely, I can never say no. :P (of course after that, I would be so lembek for that whole day)

And so, each night after he turned 2, I told him that he's a big boy now and don't need his nen anymore and he can just go to sleep with me instead. Everytime, he would stop sucking and look at me as if to say "really?" and stare at me a bit before continuing as though he does not think my idea is a good one. Haha!

But for a week now, he has been on a routine where he says good night to everyone and once ready will tuck himself in the duvet and "try" to sleep by himself, without the nen. And amazingly enough, he's done it. Albeit takes longer. And needs a whole lot of twist and turn. And the occasional tepuk bum in a rhythm. But he's done it. No crying, no tantrums whatsoever. Subhanallah.. MasyaAllah I am so impressed!

And now I feel bereft.

Belated Post :: That Friday

It all happened one Friday right before Eid Adha. I was late to pick her up. And when I wanted to start the car, it wouldn't. Boleh? Padahal semalam ni elok je bawak. (turns out battery died) Anyway, called the school to see if she could get a ride back with the teacher she goes back with sometimes but was told that the teacher has already left. So what does a Mommy do in times of emergency? She SOSes her Mama! :)

About 10 minutes later, Mama called back to see if I have gotten a call from her teacher. Apparently, within that time frame she had gotten herself in a little accident. It was pretty bad that teacher decided to bring her straight to the clinic. Waited for Mama to pick me up, and we met up with her and her teacher in the clinic. 

Turns out she was being her usual Tigger self, jumping and running around, had a fall and a really bad cut on her chin. As it didn't stop bleeding, her teacher decided to get it checked out at the clinic. Luckily clinic was still opened. It being Friday and all (a lot of shops close during Friday prayers here in Bangi-land)

I didn't want to interrupt the procedure, so she didn't know I was there till after her stitches were done. It took a while too as it was in a weird angle and what with the bleeding that just wouldn't stop. Saw that it was quite deep too.

Amazingly enough, she was really calm through out the process. Doc was quite impressed with her too. Praised her for being really brave. When asked later, she was more afraid of getting a scolding from me than worry about the pain. Boleh? Haiyoh.. Nampak sangat Mommy garang nih!

And yes, dressing and cleaning was done daily by this blood squirmish Mommy. Actually, initially the doc did only 1 stitch sbb tak nak too much scarring. But it turns out she needed 2 more stitches as when I was doing the dressing the following day it still has not stopped bleeding. So, bawak la balik pegi klinik to get the additional stitches. Nasib la it is really underneath her chin so it is not visible from the front unless you look for it. And nasib la jugak medical is covered by Hub's company. The bill itself pensan jugak tengok. Haha. 

Maka, special la sikit gambar raya haji tahun ini.. :)

WW :: Amir at 25 months

OK la, not so much wordless but in short para form. Can kan?

Without needing to be taught, he has now caught on to the superhero bug. This is the latest of the boys will be boys wiring I so believe that is ingrained in him. Started of with trains and cars, and the assortment of trucks, buses etc, and then angry bird. The only thing he hasn't started to be obsessed with is ultraman. :) But even that, I believe if he started watching it confirm sangkut jugak.

Loves to read his cars magazines before going to sleep. To the point, lights cannot be switched off before he is done. Sometimes, one car or the other gets to go to sleep with him. 

Has quite the temper. Can hold his own with Kak Jannah's temperament too. Haha. Baru lah betul buku temu ruas kan.

Eats and eats and eats. Fruits are his ultimate favourite. And nasi. And lasagna. And more fruits. Tapi berat tak naik-naik jugak. He still is hovering at that 9ish kg weight.
