The Birthday Weekend Getaway

Hubby gave me a semi-suprise birthday treat last weekend. One week before my actual birthday (which is today actually). I have been whining about wanting a spa session and was hoping I could get one before puasa. Before we checked-in (as check-in time is later in the day anyways), we brought the girls to Mak's LPM Family Day at the Putrajaya Lakeside near Pullman. It was a lovely day and the girls enjoyed some time playing with the sand by the lake.  

After coming back from playschool, we dropped the kids at Mama's before heading for Cyberview Lodge. The place was lovely! I absolutely loved the room. Ada sikit jadi jakun la with the poster bed. The whole chalet area was strategically placed facing the pool or lake. Really serene! As soon as we arrived, a cake was brought over by one of the hotel employee. I think when Hubby mentioned cake, they assumed that we are newly weds and thus instead of "Happy Birthday" the cake had a "Congratulations" written on it. Hahaha!

After resting a bit, it was time for my long awaited spa session. And it was blissful! 4 hours of absolute pleasure. I was drifting in and out of sleep the whole time and felt so good afterwards. Came back to the room, and had food waiting. Oh sungguh sedap!

Hari esoknya, we just relaxed while enjoying the serenity of the place sebelum check-out and picked the girls up from Mama's. 

Another year yet.. I hope and pray that it will make me a wiser person and a better Muslim, insyaAllah..

Jannah's Birthday Party

We celebrated her birthday almost a month after her actual birthday. It was done on a smaller scale compared to all the other previous parties held, but I liked this one the most. And I think this one is the most successful one yet. 

As usual, the cake and cuppies were from Mamachak's Recipe. The Princess Dora theme was perfect to Jannah's liking. It got her to come around from her sulking moodiness. :D

The Back-pack pinata was home-made by Uncle Yon. This time around it was a bit easier to pecahkan compared to Aliah's Nemo. The party packs were home made too by Party Fun Packs. 

After 8 birthday parties (5 for Aliah & 3 for Jannah), I think I can now do it with my eyes closed. Hehehe..

First Day of Puasa

Aliah starts to fast today. And her first attempt at sahur was a success. When I woke her up at 5:15am this morning, she woke up with a smile on her face. Had her roti with mayo and glass of soy. She said she wants to try and fast the whole day today. We'll see.

At 1230, she called and said she just got back from school. I asked "Kakak puasa lagi ke?" "Ye, tapi saya nak minum air je bole ke? Saya dahaga sangat." She was afraid I would get angry. I think Aliah will grow up to be her own harshest critic. :)

Oh, Kakak .. Mommy is so proud that you even want to try to fast. Don't worry, we'll take it one step at a time. Tomorrow we can try again.

Big Girl Jannah

Look at her. She's adorable isn't she? I am so blessed. Picture was taken on one of the rare occasions we went to the park. The bottom picture was of her feinting tiredness of having to catch up with Kakak who was on the bike.

It's been a month now that she is on potty training, and Alhamdulillah there has been no more accidents. She is fully daytime potty trained. She still wears pampers at night though. That one will take a bit longer I think. And probably would be a bit harder too. When we were training Aliah, they were sleeping with us. Now that they sleep in their own rooms, Mommy yang malas nak go over to their room to wake her up. But it has to be done, and I will do it soon hopefully! Haha.

And now that she is taking the Appeton regularly, he appetite has improved somewhat. No more is she waking up in the middle of the night for her bottle. She sleeps through the night now!

We held a party for her over the weekend, and luckily she didn't throw a major tantrum. I was quite worried that she was going to. But her party story is for another day. 

..I am blessed for having such wonderful girls..

When I Grow Up

This is Aliah's answer at 5 yrs old.. (note to self : please keep track as and when it changes)

Over dinner..

"Mommy, when I grow up I want to be an artist because I love to draw. And I want to use pencils for my drawings. "

Whatever you want to be Kakak, Mommy will always be proud of you knowing that you are doing your best at it.
