Art Attack II

This is Jannah's artwork. For someone who up until a few months ago refused to hold a pencil, I have to say I am quite impressed.

Jannah says this is a face.

Who can guess what this is? Apparently it is a house with a tree.

This one ladies and gentleman is a butterfly.

What do you think this is?

Heart Melting

Coming back home today, I was greeted by the sight of my 6 y.o. performing her Maghrib prayers by herself.

Subhanallah.. Alhamdulillah..

Although we did talk about it, as in making sure she does her Maghrib as per the birthday agreement.. I have to give credit to her teachers in school for instilling and educating her about solat. To date she can recite all the bacaan dalam solat minus the Tahyat. And credit must also go to my maid for dilligently reminding her to pray daily. For Aliah herself, it is amazing that she needs to be reminded only once, itu pun sometimes je before she willingly goes to take her wudhu' and performs her solat.

I am humbled that I have such a wonderful daughter and may you always be seorang anak yang baik dan solehah, insyaAllah. Amin.

Art Attack

Promised this to Yee quite a while back, baru sekarang dapat nak post ;)

Aliah loves to draw, lately ni je kurang sikit pasal we ran out of A4 paper and haven't gotten around to buying another rim.

This was for her Papa, a just because gift. Knowing how her Papa loves the guitar, that's what she drew. There is another one she drew a while back which was a picture of a guitar sebesar A4 tu with cool details I might add but I can't seem to find it anymore.

I think she used her fingers with this, tree-flower-sun.

This is supposed to be a haunted house :D

This is the swimming pool at TokMi's condo. And if you look closely, you can see her resting under the tree. :P

"Mommy takde masa ni, kena tinggal kat rumah" Sabar je lah.. bole tak? And dia ckp the pants is blue because me and Adik are wearing jeans.

Drops of rain, rainbow, dark clouds and a train. And a train engineer too.

I think this one amazed us the most. She did the one on the right with the base from the one on the left.

And then, the next day she drew another one.

There are lots more, but I haven't had the chance to take a picture of it. And some sudah jadi mangsa keganasan J. And some unfortunately have been thrown away.

Super Confident .. cont

Anyway.

Today was her PTC - parents teacher conference session. She was extremely excited, tak menyempat nak suruh Mommy siap to go to school.

And yes, Alhamdulillah she scored perfect scores for BM, Science, Islamic Studies and Arabic / Jawi. Plus a 1 silly mistake each for English & Maths. Still top of her class and insyaAllah will continue to be so.

Her teachers are happy to have her in the class, as it was they said it is a pleasure to have her as their student. They have not had a student like her before.

Alhamdulillah.. Alhamdulillah.. Alhamdulillah..

Kakak, continue the excellent job and know that Mommy & Papa are really proud of you!

Potty Trained

Major Milestone Reached!

Jannah has been succesfully night-time potty trained. Or to put it simply. She does not need to put on her pampers at night anymore! Wheeeee~

It was generally really easy Alhamdulillah. We noticed for a while now that her pampers is not wet at all when she wakes up in the morning. So thought to test out her ability. It would have been earlier if it was not for her being sick with bouts of cough and cold. 

It has been a week now, and so far it is a success. No accidents whatsoever. 

All it took was for us to tell her;

"Adik dah big girl now, tak payah pakai pampers OK?"

"OK Mommy."

And walla.. she did it!

I am such a proud Mommy. Hehehe...
